8 Months

It was quite the coincidence that our "Pie" turned 8 months old on Pi day.  This girl has too many nicknames to count, but most often goes by Sis Pie (Calvin's favorite), Sweetie Pie, Sissy Pie, or just plain ol' Pie.  Afterall, she is as sweet as pie and she knows it!

Lucy is days away from crawling.  She spends a lot of time on her hands and knees, rocking back and forth.  "Da-da-da-da-da-da" is her favorite chant.  She loves playing in the ball pit with Calvin and watching him run around like a wild-man.
  • Stats- Maybe 18 or 19 lbs?  She's got rolls, chubby cheeks, and loves to eat.  Who needs a scale?!
  • Sleep- Lucy slept through the night.....one time!!!  That's progress, right??
  • Eat- This girl will eat as much as you can give her.  Feed her an entire banana plus a bowl full of oatmeal and she will still cry when it's gone.  She hasn't figured out that when there are pieces of food in front of her that she is supposed to feed herself and not her brother.  Calvin plays peek-a-boo with her in the highchair and she rewards him with a "treat".

Calvin went on his first fire station tour and played in the snow for the first time this past month.  He talks non-stop while in the car (or anywhere, really) and he had another excellent check-up at the dentist.

7 Months

Our littlest valentine turned 7 months old on February 14th.  This month Lucy popped up a second tooth, but not much else has changed.  She is a total Momma's girl and she's not scared to show it!  We've had some beautiful weather so we have spent a great deal of time outdoors.  Nana and Papa Ashworth arrived and are here to visit for the month of February.

Playing with Calvin is by far her favorite thing to do.  He easily makes her laugh and she's always got her eye on him.  Sharing with Lucy is Calvin's LEAST favorite thing to do so we've got a little work to do in that area.  At least they still love each other....for now!

  • Stats- Well over 17 lbs but not idea how much she weighs.  Despite Calvin getting influenza this past month, this healthy girl does her best to avoid the doctor's office!
  • Sleep-  No real change here.  She is getting up just once a night and still takes at least 2 naps per day.  She has moved up rooms in daycare and according to her teacher, she can sleep through anything (must take after her Dad).
  • Eat- We keep a steady supply of cereal going for this girl.  She also enjoys her fruits and veggies and continues to nurse and take her bottles like a champ.

First bath together!

This guy definitely takes the cake in the Daddy category!

Calvin continues to spend every second he can playing outside (or asking to play outside).  He enjoys "reading" books to himself and his sister.  He loves to people watch and repeat every word he hears.
