10 Months

Getting the "traditional" monthly sticker picture is getting a little more challenging!  The little white onesies no longer fit and she refuses to wear the sticker (that's the 10-month sticker in her hand), so this is as good as it gets!

This month Lucy traveled to Indiana to see all of our Hoosier family!  She has 4 teeth, loves (and I mean LOVES) table food, and is growing like a weed!  Calvin is the apple of her eye and she follows him everywhere he goes.  We can't get enough of her smiles and cute baby rolls.  She receives about a thousand kisses a day from Mommy, Daddy, and Bubba!
  • Stats - Somewhere around 20 lbs.  She's wearing 12-18 month clothes and the same sized diapers as Calvin.
  • Sleep - Do we have to talk about this??  There is absolutely nothing new.  She just likes to eat or make sure Mommy is still home, I guess!
  • Sleep - Lucy has finally decided to feed herself finger foods and she's leaving baby food behind.  She's not a fan of most fruit and vegetables because of the texture, but we're working on it.  She still nurses often and is ok with a bottle, too.

Our trip to Indiana was lots of fun!  We got to spend lots of time with family and playing outside!

9 Months

Lucy's 9th month was a busy and fun one!  She celebrated her first Easter and her first trip to the beach and the San Diego Zoo!  She is an excellent traveler and was a huge fan of the beach.

This girl is officially a crawler and pulls up on just about anything.  She tries her best to keep up with her big brother, but still needs to gain a little speed.  She has two teeth on the bottom and is working on two more up top.  Lucy and Calvin have started to play together more and Calvin is learning that sharing his toys with his sister is now a requirement.

  • Stats - 19 lbs (61%tile), 29 inches (90%tile).  Lucy had her 9 month doctor's appointment this month and passed with flying colors!
  • Sleep - 9 months of the same.  Still waking up once or twice a night to nurse, but falls right back to sleep.
  • Eat - Lucy still loves baby cereal and pureed foods.  She has tried several bites of table food, but isn't a huge fan.  Hopefully that will be changing over the next month!

This video isn't Lucy's best crawling effort, but I have to post it because of Calvin.  That is him sleeping!  He slept in that position for more than 30 minutes.

Easter 2015 was a success.  Calvin was sick with a fever for both of his first 2 Easters, but this year was a lot of fun!

Carlsbad, CA continues to be one of our favorite beaches and thankfully we have two beach-loving babes to enjoy it with us!

Mom provides the entertainment while Dad chauffeurs us all to California.

See that pink blob in the wagon?  That's Lucy flopped over and sleeping after a long day at the beach!  She couldn't waste time napping at the beach, but the wagon ride back to the hotel was more than she could handle.

San Diego Zoo - Lucy did lots of napping, but Calvin loved the monkeys, went to his first 4-D movie and requested a pink fish for his first face painting!

Double strollers are so nice.....for holding all your bags!  Dad pushed the stroller all around the zoo while Calvin walked and Lucy rode in the Ergo.

Calvin reaching for his hat that he threw into the elephant exhibit.

And a few more pictures of Big Bro.....

8 Months

It was quite the coincidence that our "Pie" turned 8 months old on Pi day.  This girl has too many nicknames to count, but most often goes by Sis Pie (Calvin's favorite), Sweetie Pie, Sissy Pie, or just plain ol' Pie.  Afterall, she is as sweet as pie and she knows it!

Lucy is days away from crawling.  She spends a lot of time on her hands and knees, rocking back and forth.  "Da-da-da-da-da-da" is her favorite chant.  She loves playing in the ball pit with Calvin and watching him run around like a wild-man.
  • Stats- Maybe 18 or 19 lbs?  She's got rolls, chubby cheeks, and loves to eat.  Who needs a scale?!
  • Sleep- Lucy slept through the night.....one time!!!  That's progress, right??
  • Eat- This girl will eat as much as you can give her.  Feed her an entire banana plus a bowl full of oatmeal and she will still cry when it's gone.  She hasn't figured out that when there are pieces of food in front of her that she is supposed to feed herself and not her brother.  Calvin plays peek-a-boo with her in the highchair and she rewards him with a "treat".

Calvin went on his first fire station tour and played in the snow for the first time this past month.  He talks non-stop while in the car (or anywhere, really) and he had another excellent check-up at the dentist.
