I sat Calvin down on the family room floor yesterday afternoon when we got home. He immediately got on all 4's and tried desperately to crawl. I just sat and watched/video taped him for about an hour, knowing and hoping that he was going to crawl at any minute and crawl he did! Here is a little video clip of his first time crawling! It may be short, but I am so happy to have recorded it, especially since Daddy was at work.
Later in the evening I looked down to see Calvin crawl over to the ottoman where he proceeded to pull himself up to standing. Two milestones in one night = one VERY proud Mommy!! Now, if we could just slow down a little bit, that'd be great! (As I am typing this, Calvin is holding on to the ottoman while walking/stepping to get to his ball.)
So far this evening we've found Calvin chewing on the coasters and eating a magazine. If you need us this weekend, we'll be busy nailing things to the floor.....errrr baby proofing.
The past two to three weeks have been quite crazy for PAC. Somewhere in all of that craziness this growing boy turned 8 months old!
Stats - About 17 lbs 6 oz. Height is unknown, but his torso seems to get an inch longer each week!
Sleep - Still sleeping through the night and taking 3-4 long naps a day.
Eat - We still haven't found a single food this kid won't eat. He is starting to explore more solid foods and loves to eat a little of whatever Mom and Dad are having.
What's New - Calvin is soooo close to crawling! He can get in and out of the crawling positing with no problem at all. His hand move and his knees do not! He LOVES the bath and standing with assistance. Calvin babbles Ma-mom all day long and has definitely proven to be a momma's boy.
Here are a few pictures documenting the past month.
Helping Daddy pick out something yummy for dinner. (They went with the French Dip and Calvin loved it!)
Enjoying some cheese quesadilla after an afternoon in the pool.
He loves his morning walks with Mommy!
Came out of the bedroom to find this! I guess he's on the move!
I will be posting again soon with more pictures and fun stories from our trip to Indiana.
I'm a little late on this post, but as you may have guessed, this handsome little guy is 7 months (and 4 days) old!
I am also slacking because I haven't had a chance to do the "official" 7 month sticker photo. Between Daddy playing tons of hours, Mommy being sick for 2 weeks, and Calvin having SEVERE diaper rash, it just hasn't happened. There's still 26 days left before he turns 8 months........
Update: Here is a 7 month "sticker shot"! He may (or may not) have been 8 months and 8 days old in this picture!
Here's the rundown:
Stats - No idea! He's definitely growing! Sleep - This I do know about! He is sleeping about 11 hours straight each night and still taking 2-3 naps each day. We couldn't ask for a better sleeper at this point. Eat - Calvin will eat just about anything we give him. His new favorite food is yogurt, but unfortunately I think that is what gave him such terrible diaper rash. So, no more yogurt for a week or two. What's new - There's not a whole lot of new activity since last month. He loves to sit and play with his toys and is starting to do a little more scooting/rolling to get to his toys or paci that is out of his reach. He LOVES the T.V. remote and likes to put everything in his mouth. Typical 7 month old :)
Although I didn't do the official 7 month photo, there are still plenty of pictures and a few videos to share from the past month. Enjoy!
So big!
Loving his pool. We let him swim most evenings once the yard is shaded.
Loves his walker.
First time in the highchair while out to eat for Mother's Day
Waiting for the Doc at his 6 month check-up
These next few photos show that this boy will sleep anywhere! Lucky us!

We had some family/6 month photos taken a few weeks ago by our favorite photographer, Adria Ausmus. It was 104 degrees that day and Calvin did not care for the heat. This meant very few smiles and 2 very red cheeks. I still find his serious face awfully handsome and I wanted to share them with all 5 of our readers. Enjoy!
Happy 1/2 Birthday to the most amazing little boy we know! Mommy and Daddy love you so incredibly much!
Stats - 15 lbs 14 oz. Length (tbd at his 6 mo check-up)
Sleep - We have come a long way is the sleep department over the past week. Calvin is sleeping through. the. night! He stirs a few times during the night, but is able to put himself back to sleep.
Eat - This is such a sad month for Mamma Calvin finished up all of mamma's milk last weekend and we have moved on to formula. He is loving carrots and sweet potatoes and continues to despise cereal.
What's New - Where do I begin?! Calvin is growing, changing, and learning every single day! Over the past month he has gotten 2 teeth; learned to sit up for 20+ minutes at a time and play; find, insert and remove his paci; and turns toys on and off independently. Playing in an upright position is so much more fun!
4/29/13 - He's officially sitting up!
Favorite Toy #1
Favorite Toy #2
Seeing Elmo for the first time. (Please excuse the sweet potatoes all over his shirt!)
Last weekend we were so excited that Nana, Papa and Grandma came to visit! Calvin hadn't seen them in several months and boy did they spoil him! Can't blame them, though!
No walking yet, Nana!
Here a a couple of videos from the past week.....
Disclaimer for the Grandmas and Grandpas: He didn't even cry so, go ahead and laugh!
The first 6 months sure have been fun, but Mommy would be just fine if the next 6 months didn't go so quickly!
